Calling all aspiring writers!  Adults and students alike are invited to join us as we welcome three authors to the museum.  Hear them read from their works, discuss their creative process and share their writing inspiration.  

David Nemec

David Nemec is one of the most prolific baseball historians of the past couple of decades.  He attended Ohio State University, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team.  Mr. Nemec now resides in Eastport, New York.  

Books written by David Nemec include: The Great Encyclopedia of 19th Century Major League Baseball (2006), The Beer and Whiskey League (1995), Great Baseball Feats, Facts & Firsts (1987), Major League Baseball Profiles: 1871-1900 (2011), and The Rank and File of 19th Century Major League Baseball.

Nemec is also a playwright, novelist, and h as published a number of true crime non-fiction books.  He was named a recipient of the Henry Chadwick Award for lifetime achievements in baseball research and writing in 2015 and he will read and discuss portions from several of his books on baseball as it was in its early days.
