Alexander Hamilton, portrayed by Scott MacScott, will talk about his life and the lives of those around him in order to convey a sense of the spirit of the American people during the nascent years for our country.
Scott has portrayed Alexander Hamilton for over 10 years on a living history tour of the east coast and now on a walking tour of New York City. An opportunity to question this popular founding father will follow the lecture. Space limited. Reservations requested. No fee.
One of the finest pre- Revolutionary War homes on Long Island, Rock Hall was built in 1767 for Josiah Martin, a wealthy West Indian plantation owner. The Georgian-style home belonged to two of the area's most famous families, the Martins and the Hewletts. In 1948, the Hewlett family deeded Rock Hall to the Town of Hempstead. After an extensive restoration, it opened as a museum in 1953. Rock Hall offers guided tours, lectures, and children's programs.
