New Lecture!
Women made up half the population during the Revolutionary War but their roles are often overlooked in historical reflections. Learn about the "daughters of liberty", myth vs. reality (Nancy Strong, Sally Townsend, "Molly Pitcher" and Deborah Sampson), the ladies of Rock Hall, and other women of the Revolutionary Era on Long Island and Beyond.
Our speaker, Dr. Natalie Naylor, is a retired Hofstra University professor, a past president of the Friends of Rock Hall, and current president of the Nassau County Historical Society and editor of its annual Journal.
Space is limited and reservations are requested for this event. No Fee.
