Dozens of islands are found throughout the city of New York. While many are driven across or walked on every day, many more are either hidden away from the public’s view or have been forgotten through disease and neglect. View the islands of New York City and relive the stories of Typhoid Mary and her relocation to North Brother Island, New York City’s Potter’s Field and islands that were used to protect the country’s largest city. While some islands remain off limits to the public, others are now being visited by thousands of people each weekend. Join us for an hour and learn about the many islands of New York City.
