The Hewletts were an important Long Island family before and after the American
Revolution. They were also important to the Five Towns especially in the 19 th century.
This presentation will look at the lives of the original Hewletts and then discuss the
lives of many of their descendants who are buried in the Trinity-St. John's graveyard.
This program will be held at Trinity-St. John’s, an Episcopal Church that was founded
by the Hewlett family. The presentation will be held in the church, located at 1142
Broadway in Hewlett. A luncheon to follow.
